Cedar Key Festivals
October 17th, 2015 to October 18th, 2015
9:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day. Featuring over 200 arts and crafts exhibits, this major event will be held in City Park and will be serving lots of great local seafood! Live musical entertainment will be held at several locations around the town during the day and at night during the food festival, as well as a parade being held on Saturday morning! In addition to all the fun, the lighthouse on Seahorse Key will be holding an open house! Seahorse Key is a large island that is just 3 miles west of Cedar Key. Check out the exhibits, explore the lighthouse, and experience the beauty of Cedar Key. Shuttle boats will be available at the City Marina.
A wide range or seafood items, all the way from seafood chowders to shrimp dishes to the famous smoked Cedar Key mullet. And for the land lubbers, plenty of hamburgers, hot dogs, and pulled pork sandwiches will be available! Most food items will be in the $5-8 range, and fried oysters will be available for $9, for a long as they last! All food vendors are volunteers, and the majority are various classes & organizations of the Cedar Key School.
